The White Pelican is a large white bird with up to a 10 ft. wingspan.
The White Pelican is the second largest bird in North America...
the largest being the Condor.
This picture was taken on Sanibel Island in Florida...a place where the birds
spend their winter. They'll migrate to Central Canada for the summer.
Using "teamwork" the birds swim and encircle their prey
together while scooping up their meals.
