The figures in this unique nativity scene, are fashioned after the antique print,
Arrival of the Shepherds (1885), by French artist, Henri LeRolle.
This is said to be one of only three such nativity sets in the U.S.
It was given to St. John's school of the Deaf, Milwaukee, WI, by Fr. Savage in 1934.
In 1983 it was given by St. John's School to St. Rita Parish in Racine, WI.
