Chapel Of The Angels

Saint Rose Convent, LaCrosse, WI

Located at the Motherhouse of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration,
this “Chapel of the Angels” is one of the most beautiful in the United States.
The chapel has been featured on national and regional television.
Since August 1, 1878, without interruption, at least two Franciscan Sisters
have maintained a prayer vigil for the community, the church, the city and the world.

The interior of the chapel is an architectural and artistic treasure.
It is Romanesque in style, with Corinthian pillars and windows of Bavarian stained glass.
Altars of Italian marble are decorated with gold bronze, onyx pillars, and inlaid mosaics
of Venetian glass and mother of pearl. Visitors will receive a guided tour which highlights
the unique features of this exquisite chapel.

Stunning detail! Really paid to use that tripod! (or however you stabilized the camera for the long exposure!) Are you loving the D300?
