Black & White

Between 1980 and 1990 I used to do quite a bit of monochrome photography as
I used to participate in Photographic Salons at times. These are a few of the
monochrome prints I could salvage out of my collection.

Subroto you have presented a wonderfully evocative
monochrome gallery!
It demonstrates that MC will probably always be
classic and timeless;
And that it is frequently superior to colour, depending
on the subject and situation.
You've shown here how the mood, atmosphere and spirit can
be enhanced significantly; and that technically there are
often superior tones, textures and contrast.
And you've executed all of this with technical mastery and artistry.
