The expressions of animals often surprise me and this time was no different. This owl sitting in an old (what I believe to be grain elevator) looked rather bored and a little perturbed. Then all the sudden he came to life and his eyes widened as he stared intently at something in the distance. Later I noticed a house cat prowling a barnyard so maybe that is what caught his attention.
