Sharpless 2-1 and Vdb99

This fabulous colourful bit of sky is located in one of the claws of Scorpius, not far from the more well
known Rho Ophiuchus dust cloud around Antares. It combines lots of faint dusty blue reflection nebulae (Vdb99),
spread across the field like spider web, with an extensive field of faint red H-alpha emission nebula (Sharpless 2-1).

Well just frame it so it includes the globulars NGC 6388 and NGC 6352. There is another option I won't mention but will say it rhymes with prosaic!

Oh and yes, I have/had RCW114 on my list of possibilities, I was going to do it instead of Vdb99 but the whole heart shape just doesn't quite fit in my FOV, very close but not quite all of it, the outline will hug the edges of the frame...

Angels huh..? Nel nome del Padre, e del Figlio, e dello Spirito Santo. Amen. :-)

Also you've got a bit of Sh2-7.

Simply magical and divine! I think angels would approve of this one! You've got the colours so perfect. Have you ever thought of doing RCW 114? Also it would be worth doing the dark nebula B312 with Ha and OIII exposures. Widefield is so exciting!
