NGC 7098 in Galactic Cirrus dust

Full Frame

Referred to as a double barred spiral galaxy and at over 100 Million light years distant, NGC 7098
isn't a close galaxy and it also isn't particularly large in angular size, listed in LEDA at a
modest 4.2' X 2.7' in size, so, some good seeing conditions proved a real blessing in revealing some
of the tiny subtle features in the ring of the galaxy. The field is also filled with very faint
Milky Way Galactic Cirrus dust.

That sounds like it should be one of the astro-commandments! I think the trio in Indus would make a great image!

Well there are all kinds of love I guess...love of chocolate, love of football, love of thy neighbour...so let's just add love of Sakibs incessant imaging recommendations... that more than just occasionally.. turn into great images! :-P

Aww does that mean you love me? (it feels really weird saying that?!)
Now that you mention it, there is a lack of supernova remnants or Wolf Rayet nebulae in your gallery! At least you have a PN with jets but then you are missing a galaxy with an ionized outflow in your collection. Also where are the shell ellipticals?!
strongmanmike200207-Sep-2016 01:35
Do more PN's, no do more galaxies, no do more PN's Arggg! ha ha ha, you sound like my wife! (which isn't a bad thing I guess Sakib...because I love my wife) :-)

Love this, it looks amazing! For once I'm not going to complain that it's not a PN but then maybe that's because my galaxy obsession continues! I love this region, it is a wonderful combination of a fairly structured galaxy, faint dust, bright stars and other galaxies! You need to do more galaxies!
