The first time the lens cell has been out since the scope was built in the early 90's by
the master optician himself Roland Christen.

After 14 years and much of that time standing on its end, a bit of dirt and dust had
collected on the inside face of the lens cell. After carefully removing the lens cell
I cleaned the inside face with an isopropal alchol mix originally formulated for cleaning
the corrector plates of Schmidt Cassegrains by Dr Clay Sherrod and sold by OPT in California.
