02/03/2007 Whitman Firefighters Local #1769 and Whitman call-firefighters volunteer their time to assist with the building of a Habitat for Humanity home on Commercial Street in Whitman. The event was organized by Local #1769 president John Norton. Full-time members Lt. Bob Hover, Lt. Lloyd Plasse, Al Cunningham, Pat Travers, Bob Figgins Sr (Retired), Call members Bob Schmitt, Adam Shannahan, Chris Donohue and wiring expert Phill Small all volunteered to assist.
