12/30/2019 - ROCKLAND, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Around 1200 hours on the afternoon of Monday, December 30, 2019 the Rockland Fire Department was alerted to a reported fire at 16 Tirrell Drive. Companies arrived to find smoke showing from a building which was the scene of a second alarm building fire back on the early hours of September 8, 2019. Crews had a fire in the area of the "B-C" corner which appeared to have started on the outside of the vacant dwelling, and had extended in. The fire was knocked down quickly, as firefighters opened up the inside and exterior checking for extension and hot spots. Rockland Fire Chief Scott Duffey requested the Massachusetts State Fire Marshall to respond to the scene to investigate. A mutual aid engine from Abington provided station coverage during the incident. No injuries were reported.
