12/19/2019 - HALIFAX, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Around 2140 hours on the frigid cold evening of Thursday, December 19, 2019 the Halifax Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 128 Franklin Street. Companies arrived to find a single vehicle motor vehicle accident with a pick-up truck towing a trailer on its side. The truck appeared to travel off the road and roll on to its side, colliding with a tree. The single occupant of the vehicle was trapped and required an extended extrication from the vehicle. The availability of Boston MedFlight was requested, but not requested to respond to the incident. Within 20-minutes of their arrival, the victim was extricated and transported to the South Shore Hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
