09/22/2016 - KINGSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Recently, the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team was able to utilize a windmill in Kingston for a review of tower rescue operations. This two day training opportunity utilized both the interior operations in a windmill, and exterior operations on a radio tower. PCTRT members who were previously trained in tower rescue reviewed the tactics, techniques, and the specific challenges that a rescue in, or on a tower present. The second day of training was held in Abington. In 2012, the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team successfully extricated a worker who was injured up inside a windmill in Hanover, after he fell and was unable to self-extricate himself down the tower.
