09/11/2011 - Whitman MA Fire/Rescue held a brief ceremony in honor of all of those who were lost on the ten year anniversary of 09/11/2001. Remarks were made by Chief Timothy Grenno and Father Makos from Holy Ghost Parish. Flowers were left at the 9/11 Memorial in front of the firehouse by Local #1769 President Rich MacKinnon. The flag was lowered to half staff by Deputy Chief Joe Feeney.
