09/06-07/2007 Boston MA Firefighters laid to rest two of their own after they were killed in the line of duty on August 29th while working at Box 4-281 at 1727 Centre Street in the West Roxbury neighborhood of the city. Firefighter Paul Cahill, age 55 of Engine Company 30, his funeral was held on September 6th at the Holy Name Church, just about a block away from the fire building that claimed his life. Firefighter Warren Payne, age 53 of Ladder Company 25, his funeral was held on September 7th at the United House of Prayer For All People in Dorchester. Thousands upon thousands of firefighters from all over the county and all over the world traveled to pay their respects for these two fallen firefighters. These photos were ones that I snapped during some down time while awaiting the procession to pass on both days.
