09/06/2008 - Whitman MA Firefighters and Police responded to this motor vehicle accident at South Avenue near Franklin Street. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and drove directly into a tree. Witnesses said that the driver never applied the brakes. The driver was transported to the Brockton Hospital. The driver later died from the injuries suffered in the accident.
