08/24/2010 - Around 1830 hours the Saco ME Police Department responded to the bridge that travels over the Saco River on Main Street for a report of a person threatening to jump. Upon the Police Departments arrival, the man had two legs over the railing and appeared that he was prepared to jump off the bridge. A police officer slowly approached the man, and then grabbed him off the ledge, assisting him safetly to the ground. Biddeford ME Police and an ambulance also responded to the scene.
