Companies arrived to find heavy from the basement windows on the A-D corner of the occupied dwelling. A working fire was requested bringing mutual aid engine companies from Pembroke and Whitman to the scene, and a Hanover engine for station coverage. An additional line was brought in, and crews worked the basement level and the first floor of the raised ranch. Crews were able to knock down the heavy fire quickly and contained the fire to the A-D corner of the building. Crews spent an extended amount of time opening up and checking for extension.
