05/17/2012 - At around 1830 hours, Detroit firefighters responded to the Packard Plant at Concord & E Grand Blvd for a reported fire in the building. Heavy smoke could be seen from the large vacant mill style building. Due to the deterirating conditions of the building, the firefighters remained outside of the structure while the fire burned. The fire was on the fifth floor, with several other fires on different floors at the other end of the building. Companies were dispatched to this location several times during our visit.
