04/06/2018 - WHITMAN, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Around 1030 hours on the morning of Friday, April 6, 2018 the Whitman Fire Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of 63 Auburn Street. Companies arrived to find a car that had collided with a pole, shattering it in half. The vehicle then collided into a wooden fence at the front of the property, destroying it. The single vehicle accident sent one victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The roadway was closed for an extended period of time due to low hanging wires across the road, and for the power company to replace the pole. No other injuries were reported.
