04/06/2010 - Firefighters from all over Massachusetts participated in a two-day auto extrication drill that was held by the Massachusetts Fire Academy and hosted by Whitman Fire/Rescue and Emergency Services. These photos are from the second day of the class, the practical day. Four groups of firefighters practiced extrication techniques on four vehicles. Firefighters used hand tools, air bags, rams, cutters, spreaders, and other equipment to simulate extricating a victim from a serious car accident.
