04/04/2017 - ROCKLAND, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - On the rainy evening of Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at around 1940 hours the Rockland Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of 117 Market Street, near the McDonald's Restaurant and AL Prime Gas Station. Companies arrived to find a two vehicle motor vehicle accident, with one car on its side. One victim from the overturned vehicle was able to self extricate, but the other victim was trapped. An additional engine was requested to the scene, and a box was struck for manpower. Abington Ambulance-4 was initially dispatched to the scene and transported two victims to a local hospital. The Rockland ambulance later responded and transported one additional person from the scene. The Rockland Police Department was investigating the cause of the crash with the assistance of the Plymouth County Sheriffs Department BCI unit. The extent of the victims injuries was not immediately available.
