02/16/2017 - HANSON, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Around 1930 hours on the evening of Thursday, February 16, 2017 the Hanson Fire Department responded to a reported building fire in the area of 96 Main Street. Companies arrived to find a fully involved one story, 40' x 60' wood framed out building. A working fire was requested, bringing an engine from Pembroke to the scene and a Hanover engine to cover Hanson's headquarters. Two lines were stretched to quickly knock down the heavy fire in the out building that was set well off the road. The building was a total loss, but did not extend to any other structures. National Grid was requested to the scene for downed power lines on scene. One animal reportedly perished in the fire. The building was a total loss. The Hanson Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
