This is the Firth of Clyde. In the far distance is the Isle of Arran. Then 'Wee Cumbrae' the isle of Cumbrae and in the distance between Arran and Cumbrae is the Kyle of Lochalsh. The pier is part of Hunterston Deep water Terminal.

I'm surprised you didn't get picked up for this shot,like a view from a James Bond film.Is that the Holy Loch below?
