John, you have taken my breath away! I actually contemplated the thought of having a huge poster size version of one of these over my bed - now what a way to fall alseep that would be! Thanks for sharing - they're truly masterpieces!

There is something enchanting about the Milky Way for me. I pretty sure it comes from those enjoyable days as a 13 year old living in up state New York when for the first time that summer I actually knew what it was, and had dark enough skies to enjoy it. That was 1960 and Jupiter, standing between Scorpio and Sagittarius, while Saturn, riding above the Teapot, were together in the summer Milky Way! I'm sure that is when my desire to learn about the stars and planets was born, laying in the summer grass, gazing up at the two Giants and the gossamer glow of our galaxy simply cast a spell over me. John, thanks for these wonderful shots taken this summer that awakened my memory of that innocent summer so long ago.
