An island in the clouds? Wizard Island (a volcano in a volcano) gets all the attention, but my heart belongs to tiny Phantom Ship Island. It's not that small though. It's about 500 feet long and reaches a maximum width of 200 feet near the east (to the right in this picture) end. Its east-west ridge of spires towers 170 feet above the water. Phantom Ship Island is just another element of the breathtaking beauty of Crater Lake NP.
