In May of 2006, I got together with several other DPC photographers for a shoot in Chicago. We ended the evening with a trip to the top of the Sears tower at sunset and finally at the Adler Planetarium to shoot the skyline. Unknown to us at the time, several buildings were lit in memorial to Chicago Police officers killed in the line of duty. The view was tremendous. While shooting, I was approached by a woman who happened to be the mother of a fallen officer. She told me her story and asked if she could see some of my pictures. I gave her my pBase site and heard from her a few days later. She also passed the link around to some other members of the community and before I knew it, I had hundreds of hits on my photos and many offers to buy prints, which I quickly made available at specially discounted prices. These prints have become some of my personal favorites and my most popular.
