Aaron Gibbons primarily uses a combination of found and repurposed objects, extended media, handcrafted elements of wood and metal to create sculpture and furniture. The method and processes of fabricating and assembling the correct balance of objects is crucial to his aesthetic.

As a full time employee with Mount Airy City schools as the Elementary Art Teacher, Aaron uses this as an outlet to share his passion and provide inspiration for his own work. In our society, children are conditioned to become linear thinkers, being pressed into a form of ridged guidelines and standards that over time have been accepted. Every child naturally uses their imagination to rationalize concepts and behaviors that they do not comprehend.

Aaron has a bachelor’s degree in art with a concentration in sculpture and a teaching license from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
