Newport Bay Bridge......From a short story by roger paul "Reconnecting"
....we cross the bay to Newport on a bridge. The word “bridge” is a word with many connotations not the least of which is what I have been writing about. How to bridge the every day requirements for life with the need for the solitude that only the forest and mountains with all their accouterments can bring. What I find interesting is that sometimes we forget that a bridge can, and does, allow us to go both ways. Sometimes we forget to return to the solitude because our lives tend to be filled with busyness, which leads to a forgetfulness that becomes our daily “unreality.” It is times like this that we often need a little push to reconnect, to remember.
