It is Charles Simonyi's yacht. He has worked for Microsoft and were involved in the creation of Microsoft office. He is currently not employed at microsoft, but have started his own software company.

Simonyi has lived in Denmark for some years in the 60's and the name of the yacht reflect that. "SKAT" is the danish word for honey or darling.

The yacht is often anchored up just next to amaliehaven and amalienborg wich is the royal danish castle in Copenhagen.

I habe seen it at stockholm, too. At first I thought it is a Military Ship but than I watched in the web after the ship and I saw on very much sites that the ship owns to Bill Gates

SKAT is a fantastic boat. I've seen it at Stockholm.
For the little story: it is owned by Charles Siminiony, Chief Architect at Microsoft.
Other nicety: SKAT, spelled backwards is TAKS. This is not by error :)
