At the evening tea onboard the ship I finally learned the secret of how Funny Pee People work. Just in case I forget: Place the Pee Person in hot water for a while and then place him in cold water. This heats the air inside and the cool water causes liquid to be sucked inside. You then pour very hot water over his head and he pees quite a stream. Suddenly my purchase of Pee People doesn¡¦t seem so silly ƒº

During dinner I was interviewing waitresses trying to decide which ones we wanted to bring home. They all thought it was strange when I asked them if they liked kats. I had to use my only Chinese word, mao (cat) to get the idea across.
Dinner this evening was followed by a wonderful show put on by members of the ship¡¦s staff. They did a number of traditional Chinese dances as well as solo singing. One guy did an incredible job of a contemporary Chinese love song but it was marred by his hamming for applause during the performance.
