Yep, it is definitely camera error, requiring extensive and expensive repairs, more than it is worth. It would be best if you donate the camera to a worthy cause (send it to me and I will see that the worthy cause I have in mind gets it). That is the only solution for you. Those big blotches of green on the hillside are further evidence. Sorry to give you the bad news.
