That's a great calm indeed - camping is such a nice return to primitiveness - stripping away the unnecessary distractions of the world and tuning into nature's beauty. There is a special kind of silence when camping at dusk, as the sun sets - often the breeze dies down, the birds quiet, and you can almost hear a leaf fall.
