The sun has gone to sleep for the night. The lifeguards have gone home. The suntanners and beachgoers have left. The waves lap gently upon the shore - the only remaining sound. The skies a watercolor of pastels and soft greys...the moon not yet woken up. The sand still retains its residual warmth from the sunny day, but the night air has cooled. Sitting on the sand, alone on the beach, listening to the waves and watching the water glisten under the last colors of the sky slowly fading to darkness, calmness is unavoidable.
