Intercultural Dialogue
by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

I guess I find the biggest respite from the world we live in through photography, currently of the fascinating city I'm living in, Washington, D.C. This was taken on the occasion of the Folklife Festival on the National Mall, featuring the state of Texas, the country of Bhutan and NASA. The crowds were phenomenal, and it's good to see the interest on the part of both tourists and residents in other parts of the country and the world.

I love the composition, colors, and the soft clouds in the background!
