Berg-Sitting?
by Jerry Curtis

I wonder if the person realizes the danger. A foundering of the berg would wash her/him out to sea!
OR... is this just a pile of fishing nets? I truly don't know!

Jerry, I got your point. I think my problem is that I have never seen an iceberg in nature yet! :-)
Cheers, Frank

Have to agree with your comment, Jerry, at first look I wasn't sure how the photo fits the theme but on consecutive viewing I "got it"... it can easily be seen as a doomsday kind of scenario, a huge chunk of ice about to smash up a piece of civilization. The human figure in the foreground tops things off: nature's immensity vs. man. Great shot!

Thanks, Frank. My concern with showing the "bigger picture" is that there wouldn't be the same air of mystery or "errieness".

Jerry, for sure an interesting catch. Still I must say it was hard for me to get the story with this small resolution. The one in your gallery works much better for me. IMHO it is more impressive to see the full iceberg.
