10th - The Holiday Constellation
by Fremiet

Arlington VA

Christmas lights enhance color and beauty in the trees they decorate..so why not have these decorations do the same for human beauty? That was my thinking behind this take.
I sought strength and femininity in the final image, with the greys and blacks both giving the lights something to contrast with, and giving the hair real presence. The toughest part of this was keeping the model still enough to avoid significant blur.

I really like how you executed an original idea here, John...nicely captured, and effective as a constellation. MFC

Very dramatic image, Fremiet. I like the starry effect of the lights as well. Helen

Fremiet, this is really so different from anything in the galleries... I knew at first glance it had to be yours :-) You and I have a totally different way of seeing things and, I think that's what makes this STF forum so great... the diversity of thought. Great shot. Mark J

Oh my. This is very nicely done. Thanks John. I love your creative influence around here! You're helping to fill cUrVe's void! (Not that anyone could fill cUrVe's shoes, but you have different creative styles that I so appreciate!). Jim/Shutter
