I really have nothing "eerie" in my archives, so these may really not fit the theme, but are my best effort :-). This was a shot of hundreds of bats hovering over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

My mother wouldn't hesitate to call that 'eerie'. Tell her it's birds, and she'd be fine. Tell her it's bats...and she aint crossin that bridge!

Don't worry about whether it fits the theme or not, helen, this is a super composition! And it looks "eerie" enough to me! ;)
