Like Night and Day
by Helen Betts

Not sure if I've managed to meet the theme or not, but I was hoping the two wings of the building looking totally different due to the light might qualfy for half and half :-).

Taken at Georgetown University, White-Gravenor Hall.

Cool shot! What works for me best are the shadows and the reflection of the windows, which are different on the right and the left side.

Thank you, everybody, for the comments. I am having a particularly hard time coming up with things appropriate for the theme, but was hoping this would do. And inframan, I'm a Libra, too; that must explain my obsession with balance and symmetry :-), but I have to tell you that it's very hard for me to achieve with my minimal PS skills and excessive camera distortion!.

Beautiful shot of a handsome building.
I always love the symmetry of you images, Helen. The libran in me, I guess. ;)

Very nicely done! The sculpture on the left nicely breaks the symmetry and draws the attention. Cheers, MCsaba

Beautiful building - I love the architectural details, the symmetry, and the lighting and shadows!
