Invisible Ornament
...Click to see it, if you can
by Kudbegud

It's a 3-D Stereogram Picture

First I took a shot of Christmas tree branches to create a texture tile to use as the background. Next was a picture of an ornament which was desaturated and contrast boosted. The images were combined in a Stereogram program...you remember the posters where to see the hidden object you had to stare or cross your eyes or "look through" the poster like it was a window? If you remember how you saw those, do it again with this one. It's like riding a bike, you never forget how to do it once you figure it out. I hope you enjoy this little bit of "something completly different."

program used: StereoCreator by Andrej Olejnik full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I'm afraid that I cannot see it... would you please post a link to a visible image for us the 'non-stereographically gifted'? Thanks!

Great idea, although I can't see it but it's the flicker of the monitor that's making me impatient. Will it do the same if you printed it?

I see it and I read your description but I still don't see how you did it? Pretty nifty! Ann C

Well, I can't see it, but I do like the color and composition -- the repeating rows are quite effective. Helen

This is really cool. I've never thought to do such an image. Very creative of you! Mark J
