ordinary view of an extraordinary place
by inframan

One of the reasons I moved to the Olympic peninsula is because it has the only rain forest in North America.
This is not even in the national park to which I cannot wait to take the R1 (with tripod).
I shot it on the way to Costco. ;)

Lovely scene and image -- and I agree, the many different shades of green you've captured is amazing!

How many shades of green can there be in one small spot? Love the moss! Well done, jp! -Kathy

Really I am getting envious. Still I think I will wait for yoou to come back from the jungle. Great catch already, jp!

JP - the thumbnail does not do this superb photo justice. It's a beauty! The only thing it is lacking is a handsome Tarzan. :-)

Thank you Ann. Your stunning western Washington landscapes have been a major impetus in motivating our move out here.

Ahhhh. Home. I've lived here close to 18 years and though the rain and gray can get me down I love it here. Lovely JP. :) Ann
