The Boot Stops Here
by Sky

Glen Rose, Texas

This pretty lady never did spin around so I could see her face. She appeared to be guarding the boots of the swimmers who were playing in the lake.

Oddly enough, the temps rose into the 80's today and people were playing in the water. January? Nah - can't possibly be....

PS Mel - I had another thought that you might find amusing. The other day when we went out and about, there was this tiny car to which the owner had attached a HUGE set of cow horns. Hilarious - and I was very unhappy that I didn't get that shot. By the time we would have turned around - the car would have been gone. :-(

Anyway, I thought you might find that funny too!

Mel - sure do, along with their ten-gallon hats. :-)

For some reason, I smile when I see this shot... =)

Neat composition, and I like this idea for the theme, with the empty boots and the swimmers hidden from view!

So it is true: all Texans wear boots just like all Dutch people wear wooden shoes and live in windmills..... Nice hidden shot with the empty boots and the lady from the back. Thanks for entering.
