beautiful colors, everything complements everything else - even the brush handle color meshes well with the underlying picture/painting - good attention to "little details"...

Faye, I really like this shot. The colors are marvelous. And the focus and lighting really pull it off. You do such an excellent job with this type of photo. Regarding the drop, to me it doesn't really matter. A big splash would have probably distracted me from the rest of the image. Nice! - Shutter

I have to disagree with the post above. One of the reasons I really love this picture is the subtlety of the drop and your choice to catch it just before the 'typical' splash down. It creates such a great tension! I think your choice of background gives a great context to the piece too. It recedes to the background but reinforces the subject matter of the picture. Excellent!

I like the color, I would love the drop to be a little bigger, so we can see it right away. Like the transparent bowl & lightning. I'm not sure about the picture underneath.
great job overall !

It took me awhile to notice the drop of paint falling into the bowl...wow! What a great *catch*. Beautiful color, exquisite focusing and what timing...simply marvelous! ~nee (rdavis)
