What an interesting, hidden courtyard.

This is a very interesting picture.! What a surprise it must have been when passing this archway, too see such a beautiful sight.

Jo, I always did my pictures (as well as this particular one) on sub-consciously way having no idea about photographic rules. Basically I was all my life just a normal 'holiday-only-click-click' photogaph. Only after I downloaded my first photograph to STF some months ago, and having seen the other's photo-work, I got more interest to photography and started to look for some photo-books. But the theory is still a 'terra incognita' for me. I still do pictures based on my feelings only.

Konstantin,
>I was wondering how rich on ideas is my picture :-)
Perhaps I think it is richer than you consciously put in. But can you tell me what you put in on a (hidden) sub-conscious level? Do you really think about about "photographic rules" when composing or do you just implement them sub-consciously? Just a thought.

Thank you for your comments. Jo, reading your comment I was wondering how rich on ideas is my picture :-). I shot this picture in Canale - a small medieval village on Garda Lake (North Italy). Today, the village of Canale is reviving its cultural and artistic heritage through different art groups and thanks to many nationally renowned artists who have chosen Canale as their summer residence.

This is one great shot Konstantin. The arch gives the viewer the idea that he is discovering the scene behind it himself and also frames the scene very nicely. The other arch invites you to go on and find other treasures.Wonderful rustic scene. Where is it?

Konstantin - the arch acts as a window to the rustic beauty nestled in the distance. A masterpiece!
