Urban Agriculture
by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

Taken in my neighbor's front yard. (Well, our "yards" are literally the size of postage stamps around here :-)) I just thought this little hay bale was pretty creative and loved the grass that has sprouted on top of it. The person who just moved into the house happened to come home while I was photographing her garden, much to my dismay, but it was an opportunity to meet her as well.

Great way to meet the neighbors, Helen!! This is a very nice image and I, too, love the grass growing out of the hay bale.

Very nice shot Helen and I like that old rusty fence in the background! Beautiful blend of colors here too.

Very attractive little fall scene - I love the colors, and I, too, like that little hay bale with grass growing on it!
