This is a foot bridge that is suspended by cables beneath a full bridge across the James River.
It undulates up and down and weaves over the river as it sways
in the wind and vibrates as the cars pass over on the bridge above.
My husband, terribly afraid of heights, crossed it with me (as fast as he could go,
in the center of the bridge with his arms out a bit for balance -
that's him in the photo) on a photo outing to Belles Island.
