Thanks again for the great comments, all! The camera definitely helps for getting shots at angles like this... and a couple of red juicy apples too, to coax the subjects :)

In-your-face horse portraiture, as well? I love it and have a strange desire to ditch work tomorrow and find me some of these wonderful animals of my own to capture. The colors here are super rich and your whole composition is intoxicating.

Martin, a terrific photo and perfectly shot. Those noses sure look long to me. And from experience, I can imagine how they feel - soft and like velvet. Most excellent.
