Just a case of "breaking up" of a serious photo attempt that we all know so well.
I've always liked this for its WYSIWIG capture of a truly delightful personality, in a very special friend of long standing.

Thanks all, for your comments. I was shooting in B&W, as I wanted to make up a 6th birthday card for Lynne's daughter, with the daughter looking through the hole in the "6", and colour was beyond the capabilities of my darkroom in those distant days. We got talking, somehow, about how long it was since either of us had tried a deliberately posed portrait, and tried to set one up. This was the initial result!
And Sky, as I recall, Lynne shares the 17th August with you ;-)

Great shot, Mike. I too appreciate the black & white.

This is the kind of shot we all dream of when hanging out with friends and family. True unposed expression of feelings. Beautifully done. Dale
