Thanks all for commenting, I'm glad you find it interesting because it became an instant favourite when I reviewed the image at home. I swear there's absolutely nothing here that was set up, I just snapped away at waist-level while chatting it up with the man (Kathy: yes, same man as 'the player', never met him up until this point), hoping to capture a sort of smug expression. He's quite the character, very suave and eloquent in his speech and mannerism, yet dressed in completely mismatching clothes that make him seem quite odd (irregardless of his environment even).

This *has* to be a professional actor, Martin. And it's certainly a professional photographer! Excellent setup and image!

Composition here is marvelous, and the idea is great. There is a certain smug satisfaction on the man's expression that fits perfectly with the title.

Another marvelous composition, Martin! You're so good at this stuff! Is that man a friend, family? It seems that it is the same gentleman as is in your photo "The Player". He certainly has lots of character!

Beautiful shot Martin, I love it! What a perfect entry for this challenge!!!

Same green wall as in the other shot I guess. There is so much to explore and the gentleman's expression is priceless. Superb catch!

Colleen, Catherine, JP, Fox... thanks for commenting! Funny, I had Rockwell in mind when I viewed the photo on-screen for the first time but I think this image is much more cluttered than Norman ever would've liked ;)

Colleen, yes, same locale as the 'demon child'... maybe he's guarding his goods from her?

Hey JP, no problem asking about the cop car, I'm positive he'd sell it for well under $25, though I'm not sure if the lights work and I'm out of town for about 5-6 days as of Sunday. I posted a blowup/crop in the demo folder if you want a closer look at the car. c-ya l8r ;)

Oh Martin - I'm a huge fan of this photo. Perfectly fits the challenge's theme. This photo is like a Rockwell painting - it makes me pause and think.

Could you go back & see what he's asking for that '57 Ford cop car? Also what shape it's in & does the roof light still work. I'll go to $25 USD.
Great shot, too.

Great shot - that guy sure looks pleased with himself, guarding his toys! I guess he wins :-)

Oh, I see, more of the demon doll's house. Interesting decor with the Star Trek prop and what looks to be the captain's chair from the show. Your phasers are definitely set on "fun" in this picture.
