Jerry, I have seen similar area on Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Earth). It was very impressive !

A hint, Daniel... it *is* earth - relatively new earth, and these mounds in the centre are called cinder cones.

I had no idea NASA equipped the Mars Exploration Rovers with the Sony H5! Look at that detailed texture of the polar ice cap.
