Ha! I knew it was for real...thanks for clearing up the confusion for some of the other, more cynical folks (no offense intended!). By the way, I wrote the second comment you got. I really love this photo and hope you will get around to giving us more insight into how you did it...including what the lighting set-up was, what you did in editing, etc.(...and for the person who said the surgeon had no soul...I think this photo is dripping with soul! It's such a touching moment -to think of a surgeon looking to God in prayer just before they begin to operate...literally taking someone's life into their hands! Wish all my surgeons had done that...) It's great photo, world class! Thanks,(and do forgive the skeptics!)~nee

Actually this is this surgeon's ritual before every case.It is of an eastern culture;it seems to mentally prepare him for the task at hand.

Nice image... it is so remote, really captures the objectivity / soul-lessness of the surgeon. (They guy who did my chest was a case in pont!).....I love how you dropped out the background, focused on the immediate scene. Nice pic.
